Keep Cobb Beautiful

Keep Cobb Beautiful, Inc. Keep Cobb Beautiful is a nonprofit organization established in 1984 with the support of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners, for the purpose of "assisting the County and Board in establishing, promoting and maintaining a countywide policy for improved environmental and waste management." Keep Cobb Beautiful is supported by our County Manager, Mr. David Hankerson. Keep Cobb Beautiful is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful (KAB), a national, non-profit public education organization dedicated to improving waste handling practices in American communities.   Keep America Beautiful educates millions of Americans on all aspects of waste handling and solid waste issues. Our Mission Promoting stewardship of our communities through litter prevention, beautification, recycling and environmental education.   Who We Are KCB is made up of concerned people from all walks of life joined together to help the public become more aware and concerned about environmental issues. The Keep Cobb Beautiful Board which consists of appointees of the Board of Commissioners, city of Kennesaw, Powder Springs, and Austell, along with at large members chosen by the Board. A member of the Keep America Beautiful System, Keep Cobb Beautiful, Inc. is funded by the Cobb County Government, recycling revenues, and private contributions. Keep Cobb Beautiful, Inc. is a 501-c3 non-profit organization. The 2006-07 Keep Cobb Beautiful Executive Board Barbara Hickey, Chairwoman Elicia Fritsch , 1st Vice Chairwoman Lynn Lindsay, 2nd Vice Chairwoman Kevin Moore, Treasurer Alice Welden , Secretary Carol Kane, Parlimentarian   When We Meet The general public is always welcome at our monthly Board meetings. Keep Cobb Beautiful Board Meetings will be held the first Tuesday of each month, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.. Meetings are held at the Cobb County Water Dept. Water Lab Bldg, 660 South Cobb Drive, Marietta, GA 30060, in the large meeting room. For more information, call 770-528-1135.
