The
Clean Community Challenge
– Litter It Costs You! You
can be involved with the largest litter prevention and beautification
effort ever. Join two million volunteers across the country
and help clean up your community!
The
Great American Cleanup, March 1 st – May 31 st , is an annual,
nationwide, community improvement campaign started by Keep
America Beautiful in 1999. Involving an estimated 2.8
million volunteers and attendees, these hardworking volunteers
donated more than 7.7 million hours in 2007 to clean,
beautify and improve more than 17,000 communities during
more than 30,000 events in all 50 states and beyond.
Schools
Keep
Cobb Beautiful challenges Cobb County Schools to get involved.
Plan a cleanup, recycling event or beautification project
and let KCB give you your supplies. If you register your
program with us, your school could receive a cash prize
to continue your environmental programs! Last year our winning
schools were Lewis and Shallowford Falls Elementary, Dickerson
Middle and Harrison High Schools . Each school was presented
with a check to continue their environmental projects. Congratulations!
Who will take home the prize this year?
