We accept volunteers of all ages (they've been as young as 6 and as old as 86) The principle activity is trail construction and maintenance which can be fairly heavy work at times, but activities include everything from picking up trash and trimming back brush from the sides of the trails to building stone cribs and steps to ensure the safety and accessibility of the trails to the maximum number of visitors. Youth groups require adequate adult supervision (we prefer a ratio of 2:8 adults to youth) and youth under the age of 18 require parental permission. The appropriate registration forms are available on our web site at kennesawmountaintrailclub.org . The web site is also the preferred place for volunteers to check for possible weather related cancellations before leaving for the park. Georgia Recycling Coalition has partnered with Enviro Expo USA to celebrate
America Recycles Day , November 15th. America Recycles
Day is a nationally promoted event that broadcast the impor-tant
issues of recycling. We hope to show Metro Atlanta that "recycling"
is more than just 3 boxes con-taining paper, cans and bottles to be
picked up curbside. The Georgia Recycling Coalition has just been awarded
the "Outstanding Recycling Organization of the Year" by the
National Recycling Coalition. For more information please contact Enviro
