KOME AND KLEAN A TRAIL with Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club

Trail Workdays are the 2nd Saturday of every month which for the remainder of this year would be 11/8, and 12/10.  We accept volunteers of all ages (they've been as young as 6 and as old as 86) The principle activity is trail construction and maintenance which can be fairly heavy work at times, but activities include everything from picking up trash and trimming back brush from the sides of the trails to building stone cribs and steps to ensure the safety and accessibility of the trails to the maximum number of visitors.

Youth groups require adequate adult supervision (we prefer a ratio of 2:8 adults to youth) and youth under the age of 18 require parental permission.  The appropriate registration forms are available on our web site at kennesawmountaintrailclub.org .  The web site is also the preferred place for volunteers to check for possible weather related cancellations before leaving for the park.

ENVIRO EXPO USA
, is being held here in Atlanta on November 14-15, 2008 at the AmericaMart. This exiting new environmental event is the first of a kind for the Atlanta community. Enviro Expo USA will be FREE and open to the public. The mission of this event is to provide a qualified arena to promote the exchange of sustainable lifestyle and product information between consumers, manufacturers and others whose interest is "going green". Participating in this event will enable you to meet face to face with other concerned citizens and share ideas of how to build a better future. Many leaders in the gov-ernment and industry will lead the dialogue to educate concerned citizens on the latest technologies, initiatives on going green at home and at work. The most important issues that relate to Georgia 's conservation efforts to preserve our natural recourses will be well represented by the experts.

The Georgia Recycling Coalition has partnered with Enviro Expo USA to celebrate America Recycles Day , November 15th. America Recycles Day is a nationally promoted event that broadcast the impor-tant issues of recycling. We hope to show Metro Atlanta that "recycling" is more than just 3 boxes con-taining paper, cans and bottles to be picked up curbside. The Georgia Recycling Coalition has just been awarded the "Outstanding Recycling Organization of the Year" by the National Recycling Coalition. For more information please contact Enviro Expo USA at 770-517- 0447 www.enviroexpousa.org
